Pier 7 - Swimming in Heaven

A 3.8 ebb was flowing and we were ready. 8 hearty Sunrisers (4 in a zodiac and 4 made the drive down to jump off the pier) enjoyed water reported to be at 54.6 degrees. Pier 7 - Swimming in Sunrise Glory!

Ah - to be back in the water. This morning was a glorious Pier 7 for me. 8 swimmers total with 7 jumping in at Pier 1. I sat in the zodiac for another 6 minutes or so and jumped in at Pier 7. I forgot my watch, but all told the swim was 55 minutes total. We jumped about 20 minutes too early as the rippin' ebb hadn't quite started, but it did get better as we went along. The sunrise was a beautiful red/pink against a blue sky that lasted the rest of the day. Oh how wonderful to be a Sunriser at the South End Rowing Club!
